  • Home Blog Celebrating Female-Led Style Brands

Female entrepreneurs and innovators are shaping the way we style ourselves on the daily. From clothing and accessories to beauty and lifestyle trends, women are ruling the world of style and are top shelf influencers.

In honour of International Women’s Day on March 8th, here are five female style innovators and inspiring businesswomen to follow, invest in and love.

    Tory Burch

This American designer made luxury goods accessible with her line of chic, lady-who-lunches vibe clothing and accessories launched in 2004. Burch’s signature ballet flats were the start of her style empire, which landed her on Forbes World Billionaire’s list in 2013. Those ballet flats are still essentials, as are Burch’s colouful sportswear pieces, luxe handbags, and signature gold accessories.

    Charlotte Tilbury

Darlings, if you’re not on the Charlotte Tilbury beauty train what are you even doing? Celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has made fabulous red carpet glam accessible to everyone with her makeup and skincare line that’s all about the glow up. She built her brand on Instagram, and it’s the channel to tune into for all the latest beauty news and product drops—don’t miss a minute!

    OUAI

This cult haircare brand is the creation of celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin. With years of beauty industry experience, Atkin saw a void in the haircare market of products that were effective, easy to use, and designed for all hair types and textures. Though OUAI began life as line of hair products in 2016, it’s now expanded to a full lifestyle range including body, hand, fragrance, and candles.

    Tatcha

This cult skincare line was launched by Vicky Tsai in 2009. Tsai financed the company’s first product—the now iconic Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers—by selling her engagement ring, her car and moving back in with her parents. Tatcha is now a gold standard in the skincare world and loved by celebrities including Meghan Markle and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

    Stella McCartney

Consider McCartney as a revolutionary in fashion’s sustainability movement. Since launching her eponymous brand in 2001, the lifelong vegetarian has been committed since day one to not using leather, feathers, skin, or fun in any of her designs. Through her innovative and luxe designs, she is contributing to a better planet—McCartney is a creative and entrepreneurial inspiration.
