Join us on April 15 at 11:00 am in Centre Court as we celebrate the Scarborough Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony. This year, eight more stars will be added in our SWOF Court honouring nine community ambassadors.
The 2026 inductees are:
Jesse Asido – Business
Jesse Asido is a Scarborough-based creative entrepreneur, community builder, and storyteller with a deep passion for the area’s history, culture, and talent. Through work that blends humour, nostalgia, and authenticity, he spotlights the people and places that define Scarborough, creating initiatives and content that foster connection and inspire local pride.
Andre De Grasse – Sports
As the most decorated Olympian in Canadian history, Andre De Grasse has won seven medals throughout his career. The Scarborough-born athlete first made a name for himself in the summer of 2015, sprinting to victory in the 100m and 200m events at the Toronto Pan Am Games. Andre seeks to inspire and empower youth through the Andre De Grasse Family Foundation and supports student-athletes through the ADG Future Champions Scholarship Program.
Fefe Dobson – Entertainment
Emerging as a pop/rock artist in the early 2000’s, Fefe Dobson stood out as an edgy black female outlier in a male dominated genre. Her Platinum Certified debut album earning her 4 consecutive top 10 radio singles, a #1 on the Billboard HeatSeekers album chart and 2 JUNO Award nominations.
Trevor Godinho – Arts and Culture
Trevor Godinho is an internationally renowned photographer and multidisciplinary artist known for evocative, human-centered imagery. His work has appeared in Forbes, Vogue Italia, Elle (India and Canada), Sports Illustrated, Playboy (France and the US), FHM (France and India), Men’s Health (Australia), among others. Beyond photography, his practice spans painting, sculpture, and design, with exhibitions at institutions such as the Gardiner Museum and the Canadian War Museum.
Geetha Moorthy – Community
Geetha Moorthy is a community leader, social entrepreneur, and founder of the SAAAC Autism Centre and its social enterprise, The Goodness Gift. Today, it is a nationally recognized organization supporting over 1,000 families annually across three sites in Scarborough. Its programs include diagnostic services, clinical therapy, caregiver mental health supports, and employment training.
John and Cathy Phillips – Community
John and Cathy Phillips are active angel investors and philanthropists who have supported more than 65 Canadian startups. Through the Northpine Foundation, they have focused their success on creating impact in underserved communities, with Scarborough as a key priority—committing over $30 million to initiatives that strengthen healthcare, education, employment, food security, and community services.
Stan Farrow – Education
A respected educator and community contributor, Stan Farrow spent 35 years teaching at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate and became the first classroom teacher to receive the A. S. Taylor Award. Known for his passion for classical studies and music, he contributed to the Cambridge Latin Course, earned international recognition from the American Classical League, and was honoured with the school auditorium named after him.
Dr. Ashleigh Molloy C.M. – Education
An award‑winning leader recognized globally for advancing inclusion, equity, and diversity, Dr. Ashleigh Molloy is deeply committed to improving quality of life for people with disabilities and their families. His work centres on community building, innovation, and driving sustainable, measurable transformation in inclusive education worldwide.

Rising Stars
Bavan Pushpalingam
A Scarborough-born Eelam Tamil-Canadian researcher and community organizer, Bavan Pushpalingam is a fourth-year Public Policy student at the University of Toronto Scarborough whose work focuses on food security, community‑engaged research, and policy rooted in local and global contexts. He is the Founder and President of the Scarborough Hub for Innovation in Public Policy (SHIPP) and a nationally recognized, award‑winning scholar.
Diondre Bentia
Diondre Bentia is a Scarborough-born entrepreneur and community leader, best known as the founder of King Of All Trades (KOAT) and CEO of KD Media. Through KOAT, he empowers youth through events, mentorship, and community initiatives, while KD Media helps businesses grow through strategic marketing and content. Recognized by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Diondre is driven by purpose, service, and lasting community impact.
