We have partnered with The Scarborough Women of Philanthropy and The Foundation supporting Scarborough and Rouge Hospital to bring you the first installment of our #HumansOfScarborough series. This series will feature the stories, the faces, the extraordinary commitment and efforts of community members who are shaping the landscape of Scarborough and paving the way for a better tomorrow.
In honour of International Women’s Day, taking place on Wednesday, March 8th, we wanted to highlight the achievements, mission and story behind the women who make up The Scarborough Women of Philanthropy council. Coming from different backgrounds, cultures and walks of life, the group’s mission is a model of generosity, leadership and dedication which encourages women to celebrate their contributions to our community by raising money to support The Scarborough and Rouge Hospital.
With values that empower and unite women, this group works towards a common goal, experiences the power of giving together, inspires others to give, affects change through philanthropy and makes sure their voices are heard.
These dedicated women are on a mission to affect change through philanthropy and make an impact on the betterment of health care for a global community.
Meet the members of the Scarborough Women of Philanthropy below and read their stories of hope, inspiration and why they generously donate their time for this cause.
